FAQs

Where is G-Physioterapy located?

We are located over Montys Café in Roxborough Mews of Distillary Lane

Is there parking?

Yes, there is parking close by in the Distillery Road and Distillery Lane carparks

What should I wear?

You can come in as you are! The physiotherapist will need to see the affected body part during your assessment and treatment. If your hip or leg is the injured area, we will ask you to put on shorts, which we can supply here, or you can bring your own pair to wear. For females who have a neck or shoulder complaint it is best to wear a string top or similar.

Do I need a GP referral?

No, GP referrals are not necessary to have physiotherapy. If you have any GP referral letters, or reports from scans such as an MRI or an x-ray, please bring a copy for inclusion on your file. If on assessment, we deem your condition requires medical attention we will refer you on to an appropriate physician.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes you can. If you would prefer that someone attends the sessions with you for whatever reason then we can accommodate your request.

Can my child attend by themselves?

No, not if they are under 16 years of age. Any child under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

How long does and appointment take / rehabilitation session take?

Initial assessment and treatments 45 minutes and may include rehabilitation exercises.

How many treatment sessions will it take

The number of treatment session can depend on the nature and severity of the problem. Your physio will be able to give you an estimation of how long your problem will take for you to get back to your best. Remember the first step is to reduce pain and the long term goal is to build yourself up so the problem is either manageable or resolved completely. This takes time, dedication with your exercise programme and guidance from your physiotherapist.

Is your physiotherapy clinic chartered and recognised by health insurance providers?

Yes. We are a chartered physiotherapy clinic, we are members of the CORU, ISCP, CPPP and CPSEM we are recognised by all health care providers. Please see picture of health insurers. To check your level of cover, please refer to your own policy for its terms and conditions.

What payment methods do you except?

We accept cash, all major debit and credit cards, Stripe, Google and Apple pay.

What happens if I need an MRI other scan or a referral to a specialist?

If you require a SCAN to help clarify the finer details of what is going then we will send a detailed report and refer to your GP. If you require a specialist consultation we have built up an extensive rapport with local and national specialists (consultants & surgeons), where we send a detailed referral letter and request an appointment. Once you have attended your specialist we will receive a referral letter in return to help inform us of the best options for you.
